The xsp.properties file is used onthe application or server level to change certain properties in XPAGE applications. Her eis how to find the xsp.properties file and how to change the xsp.properties file.

To make sure an xpages xsp.properties file exists, change something in the xpages tab of the application properties.

To do this:

• Doubleclick on "Application Properties" of the database design elements. (it is the last option below Resources and Composite Applications).
• Click on the "XPages" tab (it is below the Basic Properties screen between Design and Advanced)
• Tick "Display XPages runtime error page. (untick and then retick if it is already selected)
• Click the disc icon to save the settings.

This will have created the xsp.properties file.

The best way to find the xsp.properties file for an xpage application is to do a Search->File in the lotus notes designer client, and enter xsp.properties into the File name patterns field.

Click Search.

The xsp.properties file should appear under the tab at the bottom Search -> WebContent -> WEB-INF .
