One brilliant feature of a Quickr is the PlaceType. Here's how to make a Quickr PlaceType and how to refresh your places.

Make your Place, complete with added folders forms and pages, available as a PlaceType in the Place's Customization->PlaceType Options area.

Then a Quickr Site admin can make the PlaceType live by using the "Work With Templates" menu from the main site page.

A new Place can be created using the PlaceType.

To update the Placetype from the original Place, edit the PlaceType, then save. This takes a minute to do, so wait before continuing.

Places built from the PlaceType will update at 4am in the morning as a rule, but to update now, ie if you are developing, put a command:

load qptool refresh -p AdFos

where adfos is the directory of the place.

You can switch of refreshes as well if you wish by going into your place's Customization -> Basics menu and unticking:

Receive Updates under the Updates heading.

Web Services Platform Architecture: Soap, WSDL, WS-Policy, WS-Addressing, WS-Bpel, WS-Reliable Messaging and More by Francisco Curbera, Frank Leymann, Tony Storey, Donald Ferguson, Sanjiva Weerawarana
Other books claim to present the complete Web services platform architecture, but this is the first one I've seen that really does. The authors have been intimately involved in the creation of the architecture. Who better to write this book?
