It seems that Lotus Quickr and groups, whether notes groups or ldap groups are not very useful with regards the newsletter.





If you set up groups for access of places, it works fine, but setting up the default automatic newsletters doesn't work.

 

Workaround 1:

Set up a fake user with an email address that points to the group.

 

Workaround 2:

Write a simple placebot to do this instead.

To be fair this is a  reasonable solution as the placebot can be put into a place template and the format of the newsletter can

be tweaked nicely.
