BDD Business Development Day
Ken Bisconti VP of Lotus Software said that 2007 would be the biggest Lotus Notes Launch for 5 years.
Lotes Notes 8 runs in Eclipse client and uses IBM Lotus Expeditor to use Lotus Notes Databases as composite applications. Hmmm.
Notes mail has a triangle button that allows an email thread to be quickly shown, has been mentioned before but looks good. Note mail has a ajax type address look ahead, about time!
MS Sharepoint has 75m users but Websphere has billions of users.
Websphere is announcing a 1 billion user portal later in the year. Wow.
Marjorie Tenzer VP Lotus Marketing said she "bleeds yellow" then said she had run 500 ads in europe over the year. And ?

Hints on what will be announced in the Lotus Notes General Session
I think Notes8 code name Hannover will be showcased and there will be some examples of social software code named Ventura. One bit of software demoed in the BDD was "Fringe" which showed profiles of people built on their bookmarks.
Buzzwords:
The buzzwords seem to be Social Computing, Social Software, IT Revolves around you, Spark of Genius, Notes 8
Who Did I See:
Alan Bell who I have worked with before is doing a session and has another session called "Pimp My Notes" which sounds fun.
Rob Novak of SNAPPS gave a good talk on sales and proposals, must get those books.
