Edit Copy as link is the old school way of copying a database, document or view link to a notes memo or another document's rich text field.

Drag and drop is the answer.

This does not work with views, though, if you drag and drop a navigator's view link it will convert into a database which is a shame.

Documents and databases work well.

You can alos drop them on the windows workspace.
