A strange error occurred which foxed us lately. the database wasnot accessible by using the web browser. The error came up "The Page cannot be displayed" and further down the page it said "Cannot find server or DNS error". Accessing another database on the server worked ok.

The solution turned out to be that the

"Web Access: Require SSL conection" had been ticked by mistake.

This meant that the server was trying to find an Https or SSl certificate for the database and had failed.

Unticking this box found on the main database properties tab fixed the problem.
